Our Workforce & Capabilities

A Full-Spectrum Sheet Metal Workforce

HVAC. Architectural metal. Clean rooms. Skylights. Roofing. Industrial fabrication. Local 25 members are trained across the breadth of the sheet metal trade — and certified for the projects that demand precision, accountability and pace.

HVAC & Mechanical Systems

Local 25 members fabricate, install and service the HVAC systems that move air through every kind of building — hospitals, schools, office towers, industrial facilities and data centers. From custom ductwork to mechanical insulation and exhaust systems, our workforce delivers the mechanical backbone that keeps modern construction performing for decades.

Architectural Sheet Metal

Exterior cladding and façades, ornamental and decorative metal, columns, trim, brass and copper details, and the kind of flawless finish work that earns a building its identity — the architectural craftsmanship that defines Northern New Jersey’s skyline.

Roofing & Waterproofing

Sheet metal is the difference between a roof that lasts and a roof that leaks. Architectural metal roofing, standing seam systems, gutters, downspouts, flashing and the full range of waterproofing details — on flat roofs, sloped roofs and everything in between.

Specialty & Precision Environments

Some projects don’t tolerate mistakes. Clean rooms for pharmaceutical and semiconductor production, laboratory environments, healthcare-grade ventilation, skylights and the controlled-environment work where one wrong seam compromises the entire build.

Industrial & Custom Fabrication

Local 25 members operate the computer-controlled fabrication equipment that produces custom sheet metal at scale, from one-off industrial ductwork to repeating architectural elements — current on the CAD, CNC and fabrication technology that today’s projects require.

Service, Testing & Indoor Air Quality

Ventilation verification, indoor air quality (IAQ) testing, system balancing and the ongoing service work that keeps mechanical systems performing as designed — critical for healthcare, education and any environment where air quality is non-negotiable.

Certifications & Standards

Trained for the Career, Certified for the Job

Every Local 25 member completes a four-year, registered apprenticeship and continues training as a journeyperson throughout their career. That training is governed by the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) — a partnership between Local 25 and our signatory contractors that ensures every member meets the highest standards in the industry.

When you hire Local 25, you hire a workforce that holds the SWAC and TWIC credentials required for restricted-access work, completes ongoing OSHA safety training and updates its skills in lockstep with the technology and codes that today’s construction industry demands.
